North Carolina waitress forced to return tip because it was 'too big'

NORTH CAROLINA (WABC) -- One waitress was forced to return a tip because her boss said it was too big.

Shaina Brown says a generous customer left her a $1,000 tip on a credit card at a Waffle House in North Carolina. However her manager said the company has a policy, and that large tips must be refunded unless they are paid in cash or check.

After hearing about the trouble, the customer wrote a $1,000 check to Brown.
