Woman waiting for bus in the Bronx sexually assaulted, robbed

PELHAM PARKWAY (WABC) -- A 51 year old woman was sexually assaulted and robbed as she was waiting for a city bus in the Bronx Thursday.

It happened at about 6:45 a.m. on Pelham Parkway and Boston Road in the Pelham Parkway section.

Police say the woman was punched in the face, dragged and sexually assaulted.

The suspect, a man in his 30's, then fled with her pocketbook.

The woman was taken to Jacobi Medical Center where she was treated for lacerations on her face.

Police do not have a sketch or pictures of the suspect yet.
