A koala in Australia was rescued after being trapped in a car's wheel arch for 16 miles.

The driver was unaware the koala was tagging along until they arrived at their destination and heard some unusual cries. The driver immediately called for help.

Animal rescuers saved the koala who suffered minor injuries.

The koala, now named Kelli, was released back into the wild yesterday after being monitored for a week.
