Police officer helps skunk, avoids getting sprayed

When saving a skunk, remember to wear your running shoes.

The University of Arkansas Police Department posted a video of Cpl. Gabriel Golden and Cpl. Chris Krodell helping a skunk with a plastic cup stuck on its head.

According to WYFF, the video was from last fall and was presented during the department's awards banquet in December. Golden recently rediscovered the video and decided to post it to Facebook.

In the video, Golden carefully approached the skunk and quickly pulled the cup off its head. Once the skunk was free, Golden ran away to avoid getting sprayed by the critter. Krodell, who was standing off to the side, was not as fortunate.

"He was never able to wear that uniform again," Golden told WYFF.
