BOROUGH PARK, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police say a drunken driver plowed into a group of bicyclists in Brooklyn on Sunday, injuring four people, one of them critically.

39-year-old Abel Pina is facing several charges, including driving while impaired and driving without a license.

Eyewitnesses say he ignored their screams to stop and rammed a Dodge minivan into cyclists who were taking part in the NYC Century Bike Tour and were stopped at a red light at 12th Avenue and 39th Street in Borough Park.

The driver tried to run away according to eyewitnesses, but someone grabbed him.

Authorities say a 55-year-old woman from Queens is in critical condition.
