Police investigate 'MS-13' graffiti on homes in Woodbury, Long Island

WOODBURY, Long Island (WABC) -- Police are investigating a report that graffiti invoking the gang MS-13 was sprayed onto homes on a Long Island street, about two weeks after the gang name was painted on a neighboring community's high school.

Nassau County police say the latest incident happened on Seward Drive in Woodbury.

Multiple homes were hit with silver spray paint saying "MS13" and various profanities between 9 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday, investigators said.

MS-13 is the El Salvador-based street gang blamed for more than 20 killings on Long Island in the past year and a half.

On Aug. 27, Nassau police said graffiti with "MS13," profanities, swastikas and other anti-Semitic messages was spray-painted overnight on Syosset High School.

It's not clear whether the same people may be involved in both episodes.
