Mayor de Blasio signs bill to reduce speed limit to 25 mph in New York City

NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- New York City is one step closer to reducing the speed limit to 25 miles an hour.

Mayor de Blasio has signed the measure known officially as "INTRO 466-A" into law Monday morning.

It does not officially take effect until Nov. 7.

The law is a key part of the mayor's vision zero plan to eliminate traffic-related deaths.
