NYC bar hosts watch party for ex-FBI Director James Comey's testimony

BOERUM HILL, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A New York City bar hosted a special watch party for anyone wanting to take in former FBI Director James Comey's testimony with a beverage Thursday.

"Building on Bond" in the Boerum Hill section of Brooklyn opened up bright and early - 7 a.m. - to let customers inside to get a good seat.

The bar projected the live feed onto a large screen in the room.

Dozens of people came out for the event, and it was standing-room-only at one point.

Comey, who was called before the Senate Intelligence Committee, testified about the FBI's investigation into possible Russia ties with the Trump campaign in the election. Comey was fired by President Trump on May 9.

In the Facebook post about the event, one person posed the question: "Will Convfefe cocktails be on the menu?"
