Best shopping deals for September

NEW YORK (WABC) -- You have Labor Day sales and back to school sales. That's good news for shoppers, but you have to know when and where to buy.

Act fast on laptops says Dan de Grandpre of Dealnews.com. The tote-able computers are at back-to-school low prices that'll end after Labor Day and not return until Black Friday.

"So if you're going to wait until mid September they're going to be back up. I suggest don't wait either getting it now or wait till next month. So the next week is our sweet spot the clock is ticking," de Grandpre said.

Also after Labor Day, the industry buzz is that Apple will unleash new products.

"The rumor is there's going to be a keynote September 9, and an announcement for a new iPhone," de Grandpre said.

With an improved camera and new touchscreen reacting to pressure, de Grandpre says watch for the old Iphone 6 to drop in price, dramatically.

The old iPad will also go on sale, with new and improved iPads and iPad Minis on the horizon. If you're shopping, stalling a month or two could save you BIG TIME.

From Apples to appliances, don't stall on a new microwave, fridge or washer-dryer this month. Dan says now is the time to move on that major appliance purchase.

"You're going to see sales 50 percent off or more. It's the best time to get Labor Day sales outside of black friday time," de Grandpre said.

And grills, patio furniture and all things summer will hit their lowest prices of the year in September.

Shopping expert Andrea Woroch reminds, don't buy fall items like coats at full price right now. Look to stock up on summer for next year.
