On Sunday, members of the FDNY hosted kids from the Make-A-Wish Metro New York and Western New York Foundation.

Make-A-Wish helps enhance a child's life that has been diagnosed with a challenging condition. Sunday's event held at Station 32 in Gowanus, was also attended my members from Squad 1.

The children were treated to a holiday party with food and music. It is there where they were sworn in as Honorary Junior Firefighters, or Honorary Junior EMTs.

In addition to the swearing-in ceremony, the children were also treated to a special visit from Santa Claus where presents where distributed to the honorary members.
