Newark opens first dedicated winter shelter designed for homeless

NEWARK, New Jersey (WABC) -- Winter has begun and that means that a dose of cold weather can't be far behind.

Newark cut the ribbon its first dedicated winter shelter, designed to shelter the homeless for the duration of the winter season.
