Seal hops on boat to evade hunting killer whales

A seal narrowly escaped becoming orca food when it hopped onto a boat of whale watchers.

Kirk Fraser captured footage of the incredible scene in British Columbia, where the seal tried to keep its balance as killer whales swam nearby.

"We thought it was an injured seal. It looked at us and jetted under the boat," Fraser told Storyful. "All of a sudden it is between the engines with whales all around."

Fraser says that the seal fell off twice but managed to get back on. "Eventually the killer whales gave up, and the seal plopped off boat and swam away, hanging around boat just in case then swam off."
