Wife carrying championships held in Texas

RICHMOND, TX -- The 2014 Texas wife carrying championships took place at River Point Church in Richmond, Texas.

The rules were simple --carry your wife, girlfriend or fiance through an obstacle course, faster than anyone else, and you win $1,000.

Dozens of couples took part in the competition. Chris Maresh and Ashley Font won this year's race which raised $12,000 for pediatric oncology patients.
