NY Islanders pose with puppies for their annual Pucks & Paws calendar

EAST MEADOW, Long Island (WABC) -- The New York Islanders had a couple of visitors at practice Thursday that are too doggone cute.

After another rugged practice ahead of next week's season opener, the team was joined by some furry friends for a great cause.

Players posed for with members of America's VetDogs for the Islanders' annual Pucks & Paws calendar.

Proceeds for the calendar will benefit America's VetDogs, a Long Island based organization that trains dogs to assist combat veterans both emotionally and physically.
