Kevin McHale has withdrawn from consideration for the Sacramento Kings' coaching vacancy, according to league sources.

Sources told ESPN.com that McHale, who had recently engaged in exploratory conversations with the Kings, has informed them that he no longer wishes to pursue the post.

The Kings are in the midst of a broad, deliberate coaching search, with interviews scheduled this week with David Blatt, Jeff Hornacek, Patrick Ewing, Mark Jackson and current Sacramento assistant Corliss Williamson. The Kings have previously interviewed Sam Mitchell, Vinny Del Negro and Mike Woodson and have likewise received permission from San Antonio to meet with Spurs assistants Ettore Messina and James Borrego in the near future.
