New Jersey State Police SUV stolen, weapons and uniforms taken
Joe Torres has more on a New Jersey State Police vehicle that was stolen in North Brunswick.

NORTH BRUNSWICK, New Jersey (WABC) -- New Jersey State Police say they are investigating the theft of one of their troop cars.

Police say the white, unmarked Chevrolet Tahoe car was stolen sometime Saturday evening or early Sunday morning in the area of North Brunswick in Middlesex County.

The troop car was recovered late Sunday morning in North Brunswick.

Investigators determined that two weapons and State Police uniforms were stolen from inside the vehicle.

Police said the stolen uniforms and weapons may have been used during at least one armed robbery in Middlesex County Sunday morning.

Authorities asked concerned about the validity of an officer's identification to call 911.
