GREAT NECK (WABC) -- One person was killed and two others injured when a car crashed into an AT&T store on Long Island Monday morning.

The accident happened at 10:51 a.m., at the store at 47 Northern Boulevard in Great Neck.

The driver of the vehicle, a gold Toyota Rav 4, was a 65-year-old woman who was traveling with her 25-year-old daughter.

A customer inside the store, who was sitting with her back to the glass when the car came in, was trapped under the vehicle.

"One of our team members heard a noise, and we ran over across the street," said Angelo, who works at a nearby car dealership. "There was a woman lying under a car. A tire was on her chest."

Other customers, employees and workers from the dealership worked together to lift the car off her.

"I pulled her out, and her leg got caught because everybody came down on the car," Angelo said. "We lifted it again, then one of the other guys that works here pulled her leg out."

The 66-year-old woman, identified as Lizabeth Sbar, was rushed in critical condition to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

There are two other injuries are not as serious. One victim was an employee, while the other was a customer.

The driver and her daughter were not injured, but the mother was taken to the hospital to be evaluated. She reportedly told officers there was a vehicle malfunction.

"As they were pulling into the spot, the driver stated that the car just would not stop," Nassau police inspector Kenneth Lack said. "And she proceeded right through the store."

No criminality is suspected at this time.
