Driver charged after deadly accident on Staten Island

GREAT KILLS (WABC) -- A driver with a suspended license was charged Monday night after a deadly accident on Staten Island.

Two women were hit by the car when the driver jumped the curb in the Great Kills section.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Hylan Boulevard and Cleveland Avenue.

Police say 31-year-old Christal Aliotta was killed.

The other woman who was injured suffered minor injuries.

Michael Fox, 23, was taken into custody and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Results from a drug test are pending.
