Family killed in horrific Long Island crash
Kemberly Richardson has the latest developments.

UNIONDALE, N.Y. (WABC) -- Friends and relatives will gather Saturday in Uniondale for the funeral of 37-year-old Myriam Lebrun, her mother and her three children, who were all killed in an Aug. 23 car accident on the Southern State Parkway in Babylon.

On Friday in Hempstead, a wake was held for the family. The funeral will be held a St. Martha Catholic Church at 11 a.m..

According to police, Myriam was behind the wheel of her Honda Accord when it left the highway, struck a tree and burst into flames.

The victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and the highway was closed for more than four hours as authorities investigated.

The victims were identified as Lebrun, 14-year-old Marcus Jeanty, 9-year-old Marcel Jeanty, 8-year-old Kayla Jeanty and 68-year-old Moise Yolande.

On the day of the accident, Myriam had visited with her sister, Vayola, in Brentwood. The family was headed back home to Brooklyn when the tragedy occurred.

Police are still asking for the public's help, and anyone who saw the accident is urged to call the New York State Police at 631-756-3300.
