Pedestrian killed by mail truck on Long Island Expressway

ROSLYN HEIGHTS, Long Island (WABC) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed Thursday morning on the Long Island Expressway.

The man was struck in a crash involving a United States Postal Service truck, which pulled over after the 4:45 a.m. collision.

The expressway was closed between exits 39 and 40 near Glen Cove Road at 4:46 a.m.
