Several people hurt in multi-vehicle accident on Whitestone Bridge

QUEENS (WABC) -- A multi-vehicle accident on the Whitestone Bridge has left several people injured Saturday.

The accident happened on the southbound, Queens side of the bridge around 2:30 p.m. Two lanes are blocked.

The FDNY confirms that nine people were taken to area hospitals. Six have serious injuries; three have minor injuries.

It is also unclear how many cars are involved.
