Woman hit by tour bus on West 14th Street.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A bus driver was issued a summons for failure to yield to a pedestrian after a tour bus hit a 74-year-old woman.

Witnesses said around 5 p.m. a CitySights NY bus turning onto Seventh Avenue from West 14th Street when it hit a pedestrian.

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital where she is in stable condition.

"Our thoughts are with the injured woman and her family and we are cooperating fully with the NYPD," said David Chien, spokesman for CitySights, in a statement. "Safety is of paramount concern to CitySights and we have an exemplary record in that regard."
