TACONY, Pa. -- A motorist is hospitalized and a passenger remains at large after a dramatic rollover crash caught on camera in Northeast Philadelphia.

The crash occurred just before 4:00 a.m. Thursday in the 4100 block of Unruh Avenue in Tacony.

Police say the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control.

Home surveillance video obtained by Action News shows the burgundy colored Honda Accord rear-ending a car parked on the left side of the street, then rolling and hitting 2 cars parked on the opposite side of the street before coming to rest on its roof.

The 22-year-old male driver suffered head, neck and back injuries.

He was rushed to an area hospital with stable vital signs.

The video shows a passenger getting out of the Honda, collecting something from the vehicle, then fleeing the scene. That person remains at large.

Accident investigators remained on the scene collecting evidence.

Unruh Avenue remained closed to traffic between Charles and Tackawanna Streets.

There was no immediate word what may have caused the driver to lose control.
