Japanese space agency releases library of high-definition images captured from the moon
This is the first HD video captured from the moon.

Japan's space agency (JAXA) has released the first high-definition video captured from the moon. The video is a part of a library of images that were captured during Japan's SELENE (SELenological and ENgineering Explorer) mission from October 2007 to June 2009.

A 2.2-megapixel camera captured the images from the mission's Kaguya spacecraft.

The full image library can be accessed from the Kaguya HDTV Data Publication System website.
