Tropical storm causes two-tone effect on water in Hawaii
Ryan De Seixas captured footage of the brown and blue water touching.

Tropical Storm Darby struck Hawaiian islands in July and caused a stunning, two-tone effect at Oahu's Waimea Bay.

Ryan De Seixas uploaded video of the strange water phenomenon to YouTube. One portion of the water appears a natural blue, while the other portion is a murky brown, with the two portions almost being separated right down the middle.

"I was pretty shocked to see how red and how thick it was. There was a pretty distinct line between the salt water and the fresh water coming out of the river," Seixas told KHON2. "I drove by (today) around like 2 o'clock and I was actually surprised at how much better the water looked. A lot of it must have settled or moved with currents."
