At least 1 injured in high-rise apartment fire on Manhattan's UWS
David Novarro reports on a high-rise apartment fire on Manhattan's Upper West Side.

UPPER WEST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- One person was injured in a high-rise apartment fire on Manhattan's Upper West Side Friday morning.

The fire broke out in a second-floor apartment on West 72nd Street near Central Park West at about 10:20 a.m.

The name of the building is The Majestic and the fire broke out in a section of the building that's 16 stories high.

A woman was brought out of the building on a stretcher. She's in serious but stable condition.

Flames were shooting out the windows, as seen in this photo taken by Instagram user @hchuaeoan:

FDNY officials said the fire reached a second alarm and is now under control.
