Livery driver injured in Upper East Side hit-and-run

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A livery driver was the victim of a hit-and-run early Thursday morning while getting out of his car on the Upper East Side.

The victim was hit on Madison Avenue near East 80th Street at around 1:45 a.m. He was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The vehicle that struck him fled the scene.

Police later pulled over a car on West 71st Street and West End Avenue.

Two people are being questioned, and no charges were immediately filed.
