FLUSHING (WABC) -- As the Mets wait to see who they will play in the World Series, they held an optional workout on Friday afternoon at Citi Field. Plenty of the everyday players elected to take the day off.

The workouts become mandatory on Saturday.

Yoenis Cespedes, nursing a sore shoulder did not work out.

The pitching rotation for the World Series has not yet been announced.
