3-story building in Prospect-Lefferts Garden catches fire

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (WABC) -- A fire broke out in a building in the Prospect-Lefferts Garden section Saturday morning.

A three-story building in the 500 block of Rodgers Avenue, with a commercial property on the ground floor and apartments above, was reported on fire around 11:15 a.m.

It started on the third floor of the building, and was under control by noon.

According to the New York City Fire Department, two children had minor injuries and were taken to Kings County Hospital.

Sixty firefighters and 12 pieces of fire equipment responded.
