Children form food chain to help feed the hungry this Thanksgiving
David Novarro has the story.

MORNINGSIDE HEIGHTS, Manhattan (WABC) -- Some kids in Manhattan joined together create a food chain to help those less fortunate.

Students from St. Hilda's and St. Hugh's School in Morningside Heights stood shoulder-to-shoulder as part of a huge food hand-over.

It started in the hallways, went down the street, and ended at Broadway Presbyterian Church.

The donations mean full stomachs for the hungry this holiday season.

"It's great to share with the people who aren't as fortunate as we are to do this," said Alexander Chippas, a 4th grader.

This is an annual tradition for the school to teach students the importance of sharing and to feed others first.
