Pregnant woman arrested after flipping car, arrested for drugged driving on Long Island

KINGS PARK, N.Y. (WABC) -- A pregnant woman was arrested for allegedly driving while impaired by drugs after flipping her vehicle on Long Island.

It happened Wednesday at 8 p.m. on Indian Head Road in Kings Park.

Suffolk County Police say 26-year-old Danielle Wisnieski lost control of her vehicle and overturned near Old Northport Road.

Wisnieski, who is 26 weeks pregnant, was treated at the scene and then rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital via Suffolk County Police helicopter.

Wisnieski is being treated for minor injuries.

Her passenger, Randal Jernigan, 34, of Kings Park, was transported via Kings Park Rescue to Huntington Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Wisnieski faces charges of driving while impaired by drugs.
