BOROUGH PARK, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police are searching for a man they say punched a 21-year-old Jewish man who was leaving a subway station in Brooklyn Wednesday, and the incident is being investigated as a possible hate crime.

Authorities say the victim was leaving the Fort Hamilton Parkway subway station in Borough Park when he accosted at 3:30 p.m.

The suspect reportedly yelled, "Slow Down, you (expletive) Jew," and then punched the victim in the nose.

He sustained a minor injury but was taken to Maimonides Hospital to be checked out.

The assault is being investigated as a possible bias attack.

No arrests have been made, and anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
