Getting your last minute holiday gifts delivered on time

NEW YORK (WABC) -- With little time left before Christmas day, how can you be sure your gifts will arrive on time? If you're a last-minute shopper, there are a lot of different options you can try.

If you shop online, you can still buy presents via mobile or mouse, but it'll cost you. And if you're planning on shipping gifts this week, prepare for sticker shock.

Shoppers can pay two to three times the price of regular shipping just to ensure a delivery by Christmas eve, and experts say you can easily end up paying more than $100 for a small package.

The deadline for two-day shipping is December 22 and one-day shipping is December 23, but most retailers have a cut off time between noon to 2 p.m. Eastern, so shop early.

Another option is to ship to the store by purchasing your gift online and then picking it up at the customer service desk.

The package will be waiting for you, and you can check at the store if the deal isn't better there.

Some stores, like Target, offer a service called "curbside" that lets you order gifts on your phone then schedule a pick up.

You use the app to alert them when you are at the store, and they bring out everything out to your car.

If even a trip to the curb is too much, a service called Deliv will drive the gifts to your house. Like hiring an Uber car, Deliv will drive your purchases to your house for just $5.

So far, Deliv is only in 17 markets, but if you're lucky enough to be in one of them, it might help save Christmas.
