Police impersonator approaches woman in Bronx subway

BRONX, New York (WABC) -- Police are looking for a man who pretended to be an officer last month.

Around 7:40 p.m., a man walked up to an 18-year-old woman after she entered the subway station at Westchester Avenue and Grant Circle.

According to the New York City Police Department, he told her he was a police officer and that she had illegally entered the subway.

He told her he would issue her a summons, but that if she victim performed a sexual act he would not give her the ticket.

The victim declined, then fled on foot.
