2 injured in Queens shooting

ELMHURST, Queens (WABC) -- Two men were shot following a dispute in their cars in Elmhurst, Queens, Thursday morning.

The victims then drove themselves to Elmhurst Hospital, where they crashed into a parked car.

The men got into a verbal dispute with the occupants of another vehicle, an Acura, while stopped at a light at 75th Street and Roosevelt Avenue at around 4:30 a.m.

A man in the Acura shot into their vehicle and sped off.

The 25-year-old driver was shot in the leg and the 23-year-old passenger was shot in the ankle.

The shot driver drove away from the scene and crashed into a parked car several blocks away at Woodside Avenue and Baxter Avenue, outside Elmhurst Hospital.

The two men then walked into the hospital, where they were treated for non life threatening injuries.

The suspect vehicle drove away from the scene and is being sought.

The gunman fled the scene and no arrests were made.
