2 killed in rowhouse fire in Brooklyn
Shirleen Allicot reports on a fire in Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn that killed two people.

BEDFORD STUYVESANT, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A man and a woman were killed in a rowhouse fire in Brooklyn early Friday morning.

The fire broke out just before 3:15 a.m. on the second and third floors of the home on Patchen Avenue in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section.

Officials said 79-year old woman was discovered dead on the second floor. A 76-year-old man was pulled from the building but died at a nearby hospital.

A 55-year-old man was also injured in the fire, but investigators said he is expected to survive.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
