Tractor-trailer goes off road, ends up in front yard of driveway in Rye, Westchester County

RYE, Westchester County (WABC) -- An out of control tractor trailer smashed through trees and a white picket fence and came to rest in the driveway of a Rye home Friday morning.

The driver lost control on the ramp from Interstate 287 to Interstate 95 just before 6:30 a.m.

The tractor trailer crashed through trees and a fence and came to a stop in the home's front driveway on Grace Church Street.

The driver was extricated from the truck's cab and taken to the hospital.
