Residents of East Harlem public housing unit say heat has not worked for 5 days

EAST HARLEM (WABC) -- Residents of a public housing unit in East Harlem say they have been suffering through the bitter cold with no heat.

People living in the Washington Houses say the heat has not worked in five days.

Instead, residents have been using stoves and space heaters to keep warm. Residents say they have tried to call management and the city's 311 number for assistance, but have not received any answers.
