Daily News delivery truck driver killed in accident in Brooklyn
NEW YORK (WABC) -- The driver of a Daily News delivery truck was killed in a two vehicle accident in Brooklyn early Sunday.
The accident happened at Nostrand and Flushing Avenues in the Williamsburg section at about 5:50 a.m.
Police say the truck was traveling southbound on Nostrand Avenue and a green cab was traveling on Flushing Avenue where they were involved in a T-bone collision at that intersection.
The truck driver was identified as 24-year old Jonathan Long. Authorities say he may have been ejected from the vehicle and was in cardiac arrest when transported to Woodhull Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A passenger in the truck was hospitalized in stable condition. The driver of the taxi was treated at the scene.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
