Police identify suspect accused of stealing ID, money, from terminally ill Manhattan woman

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Police have identified a suspect accused of stealing the identity of a terminally-ill Manhattan fashion executive.

New York State Police say the person wanted is 34-year old Erin O'Hanlon of Derby, Ct.

She is accused of stealing the identity of Kate Sullivan and withdrawing $9,200 from her Chase Bank account.

She is wanted by the State Police and other police agencies for several felonies, including Grand Larceny and Identity Theft 1st Degree.

Police say O'Hanlon opened several store credit cards in New Haven Connecticut, fraudulently purchasing nearly $4,000 worth of merchandise, and could possibly be in the New York City area.

Police say they confirmed her identity with help from the public after posting her picture on the NY State police Facebook page on Saturday.

Sullivan died in September at age 50 after a long battle with cancer.
