Police looking for suspect in stabbing on J subway platform

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police are looking for a suspect in connection with an attack on a subway platform.

Around 9 a.m. on May 2, the suspect approached a 22-year-old man while he was standing on the northbound "J" train platform inside the Chauncey Street subway station. The suspect then verbally threatened him, according to the New York City Police Department.

The suspect then stabbed the victim in the back of the neck and the back of the head. The victim was taken to an area hospital and is stable.

The suspect is described as a black Hispanic man, about 5 feet 7 inches and 165 pounds, wearing a green baseball hat, dark sneakers, a dark blue jacket with the word, "AZTECA" written on the back, and white jeans.
