Britain-bound United Airlines flight forced back to Newark Airport

NEWARK (WABC) -- There were some scary moments for air travelers who took off from Newark Liberty Airport after their plane was forced to turn around.

United Airlines Flight 160 had just left for Newcastle, England Sunday night at 11:30 when the pilot reported landing gear trouble.

The plane landed safely just after 1 a.m.

There were no injuries among the 90 people on board.
