2-alarm fire tears through Wendy's on Route 17 in Rutherford

RUTHERFORD (WABC) -- A two-alarm fire tore through a fast food restaurant in New Jersey Thursday afternoon.

The flames broke out at a Wendy's on Route 17 in Rutherford just after 2:30 p.m.

All employees and customers were safely evacuated.

The fire department is on scene, working to put out the stubborn blaze.

There are no reported injuries.
