Damage to overhead switch causes power to go out for thousands in Brooklyn

MARINE PARK (WABC) -- Con Edison was on the scene of a large power outage in Brooklyn on Saturday night.

The power went out to over 4,600 customers in Marine Park at 6 p.m., and came back on two hours later.

Con Edison says the cause was damage to an overhead switch.

The location of the outages was between East 37th Street from Quentin Road to Fillmore Avenue.

FDNY also responded to the scene.
