Queens man dies after struck by hit-and-run driver in Forest Hills

FOREST HILLS (WABC) -- A person struck by a hit-and-run driver in Queens has died, and police are still looking for the person who hit him.

The incident happened just after 11 p.m. Sunday at 110th Street and 71st Avenue in Forest Hills.

The victim, 40-year-old Aron Aranbayev of Queens, was taken to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition. He died on Monday.

Police are looking for a dark-colored Dodge Magnum.

It is believed that the Aranbayev and the driver of the car who struck him were having a dispute prior to the incident.

The driver of the car then left the scene.
