Car on Upper West Side crash sends scaffolding into street

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A car struck a scaffold on the Upper West Side Tuesday morning.

The driver lost control and struck the scaffold on Amsterdam Avenue at West 68th Street just before 7:30 a.m.

The force of the collision dropped about 20 feet of scaffolding onto the street.

One person, the driver, refused medical attention at the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
