Mother indicted on murder charge after toddler smothered to death in restaurant bathroom

NEW YORK -- A mother from New York City was indicted on a murder charge in the death of her son.

36-year-old Latisha Fisher pleaded not guilty on Friday to killing 20-month old Gavriel Fisher. Police say she smothered the child by holding her hands over his face in a Manhattan restaurant restroom in March.

Prosecutors say she told first responders that the devil made her "put him to sleep".
