Miguel Amaya
Miguel Amaya is a community journalist for ABC7NY, covering stories in New Jersey.

Miguel came to Channel 7 from CNN in Washington, D.C., where he was a desk assistant and produced The Daily DC podcast. Prior to that, Miguel was a Video Journalist Fellow at BBC, where he traveled to the U.S.-Mexico border and reported on immigration stories.

Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Miguel graduated from the University of Miami with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a master's degree in International Administration. Miguel later graduated from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.
