MIDTOWN (WABC) -- Some new video provides a good look at a suspect wanted for a string of burglaries in Manhattan.
Police say the man has broken into at least six apartments in Midtown since February.
During the latest burglary which happened just a few weeks ago, the man was caught on surveillance video while out on a fire escape.
fire escapes in the city are of course designed for fast exits from a building in case of an emergency. but for one guy still on the loose, they are his method of getting ***in**** to buildings.
Surveillance video released by police shows the suspect on July 25. He's on the fire escape of a building near 10th Avenue and 57th Street, looking for a way in around 7 a.m.
The would-be victim, 24-year-old woman, heard noise outside her window and saw the man. He got scared and fled.
He's gotten away with electronics, jewelry, credit cards, cash and clothing.
Anyone with information in regards to any of these incidents is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
