Police responded to the Manhattan office of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton to deal with dozens of free trade protesters, including several who apparently shackled themselves to a front door of the building.NYPD spokesman Detective Brian Sessa said the incident occurred at Third Avenue in midtown on Tuesday afternoon. There were no immediate reports of arrests.

A Clinton spokesman did not immediately comment.

Free trade has recently become a hot topic in the Democratic presidential primary contest, with Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama trading charges over who would better protect U.S. jobs.
